1. Data controller

Akash InnoTech is the data controller for personal data processed through ABCD — Any Body Can Direct. Contact: hi@abcdstudio.ai.

2. What we collect

Account data (name, email, bcrypt-hashed password, plan, credit balance and any scheduled plan change); the content you create or upload (prompts, scripts, reference images, songs, clips, generated media, published films); Film Editing Studio packaging details you enter — film title and tagline, filmmaker / director name and role, brand line, uploaded logos and the text of title and end cards — plus your thumbnail choices and edits (chosen frame, crop, colour adjustments, overlay title); payment metadata from the gateway you used (Razorpay, Stripe, PayPal or Paystack — order and payment IDs, amount, currency and status; never full card numbers); support conversations; MCP/API keys and session tokens (stored hashed); and technical data such as device/browser type, approximate region, IP-derived security signals, error logs, render diagnostics (for example the stage and exit code of a failed render) and anonymised page-performance timings.

3. How we use it

To operate the studios (generation, rendering, storage, casting voices, editing, packaging, thumbnails), to bill and manage your plan and credits — including applying a downgrade you scheduled, to publish films you choose to publish, to provide support, to prevent abuse and fraud, to measure and improve performance and reliability, and to send essential service emails (receipts, plan changes, security notices). Your prompts and reference media are sent to the AI providers named in the Terms strictly to fulfil your requests; they are not used by us to train models. Filmmaker details you add to cards are used only to render those cards and, if you publish, to credit the film on ABCD TV.

4. Legal bases

Performance of our contract with you; our legitimate interests in securing and improving the Service; your consent where required (e.g. marketing emails, optional features); and compliance with legal obligations.

5. Storage, security & retention

Your media lives in two places. The primary copy is held in Emergent Object Store, a secure cloud object storage service; a redundant mirror is written to BytePlus TOS (Torch Object Storage) so a file can still be served if the primary is unavailable. Our application servers keep only a temporary working cache of files that are being rendered or viewed — that cache may be cleared at any time and the file is restored from object storage when needed. Private finals and downloads are served only to their owner or via time-limited signed links; access is restricted to your account (and platform administrators for support and moderation). Passwords are hashed with bcrypt, API keys and session tokens are stored hashed, and data in transit is encrypted (HTTPS). Project media is removed from our servers and becomes inaccessible through the Service when you delete a project; residual copies in object storage are flagged as orphans by our storage clean-up and removed by our team as part of routine maintenance, normally within 90 days; performance telemetry is kept 30 days; render diagnostics are overwritten by the next successful render; account data is kept while your account is active and for a limited period afterwards as required by law or for dispute resolution.

6. Your content — what is stored and where

Uploaded source material (clips, songs, reference images, logos), generated media (storyboard frames, video clips, voices, music, subtitles), rendered films and their packaged versions, auto and custom thumbnails/posters, and the text of your title / filmmaker / end cards are stored in Emergent Object Store and mirrored to BytePlus TOS as described in section 5. Prompts, scripts, edit plans, timeline settings, packaging settings and your thumbnail selection are stored in our database alongside your project. Publishing a film to ABCD TV, or a super administrator featuring it on the landing page, makes that film, its poster/thumbnails, title and filmmaker name publicly visible; everything else stays private to your account until you choose to share it (for example with a 9:16 thumbnail share link).

7. Preview and production environments

ABCD runs a production environment (the live service at our public domain) and separate preview/test environments used to build and check new features. Each environment has its own database, its own object-storage locations and its own payment-gateway configuration (test mode in preview, live mode in production). Data is not copied between them: an account, film or payment you create in production does not exist in preview and vice versa, and test payments made in preview never charge a real card. Only our team uses preview environments; if you are invited to test one, treat anything you upload there as test data that may be reset at any time.

8. Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with processors needed to run the Service — AI engines (BytePlus, fal.ai, ElevenLabs, OpenAI/Anthropic/Google via our integration layer), payment gateways (Razorpay by default; Stripe, PayPal or Paystack where offered — only the gateway you choose at checkout receives your payment details), cloud object storage (Emergent Object Store and BytePlus TOS) and transactional e-mail delivery — under their respective terms, and with authorities when required by law. Films you publish to ABCD TV, and titles featured on the landing page, are public by design.

9. Cookies & local storage

We use essential browser storage (login token, theme, studio preferences, the last open edit project, your preferred payment currency) to keep you signed in and remember your settings. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live you may access, correct, export or delete your personal data, object to or restrict processing, and withdraw consent. You can delete projects — including their thumbnails, packaging cards and uploaded logos — at any time from the studio, and unpublish films from ABCD TV yourself; for account deletion or any data request write to hi@abcdstudio.ai. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.

11. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a minor has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes

We may update this policy; the "last updated" date below reflects the current version and material changes will be announced in-app. © 2026 Akash InnoTech.
